Woman Arrested for Running Bootleg QVC | Smooth Criminal

Police in Illinois say that a woman was running an online boutique out of her basement where she was selling stolen merchandise for a few years.

Twanna Trotter, according to police, had been stealing from retail stores all over the St. Louis area and selling them online. Investigators found roughly $20,000 worth of stolen merchandise in Trotter’s East St. Louis home. They said she was operating much like an illegal QVC as she would take a video of her items, post it on social media and wait for people to contact her to buy the items. Detectives would actually watch Trotter’s Facebook Live sessions to see what she was selling.
