When disaster strikes, Chef José Andrés and his World Central Kitchen are there to feed folks in need. Right now, they’re down in Louisiana providing meals to first responders and evacuees in the aftermath of Hurricane Delta.
Josh Phelps, World Central Kitchen’s director of relief operations, says they’re serving 4-thousand to 5-thousand fresh, hot meals to hungry people in the area. Crews are working hard to restore power and clean up after the hurricane and they’re keeping them fed. They’ve even got a drive-thru for residents to pick up meals with ease.
