Some couples spend a lot of time trying to come up with the perfect creative wedding hashtag for their wedding, but the work was already done for Kieran White and Tilly Christmas. The British couple just tied the knot in an intimate ceremony that’s already spreading holiday cheer. They decided to hyphenate their last names to officially become Mr. and Mrs. White-Christmas.

The newlyweds first met when they were just 12 years old and were high school sweethearts who say they didn’t even realize their special surname combo until a friend pointed it out. White and Christmas were supposed to wed over the summer, but they had to postpone their plans because of the pandemic. They didn’t want to wait any longer and said “I do” with just 13 guests attending their COVID-safe nuptials before the country heads back into lockdown.

The bride says she’s loved growing up with the name Christmas, but she thinks her husband may need some time to adjust. “I wanted to keep the name Christmas for a few reasons – I’ve always loved having it as a last name and I really love Christmastime as well,” Tilly explains. “It just so happens that the man I’ve married has the perfect surname to go with it.”
