Terry Crews’ Rough Childhood Inspired Fitness Journey

Terry Crews opened about his fitness journey during a last night’s appearance on “Running Wild with Bear Grylls.” The two were exploring the Icelandic Highlands when he shared the painful reason behind his dedication to keeping himself fit.

The “America’s Got Talent” host says that he was actually overweight as a kid because he was depressed. His original plan to go to the gym for 21 days turned into 21 years.

Terry went on to say that his childhood wasn’t great. “My father was very abusive. He used to beat my mother,” the former NFL player explained. “It was one of those things where I knew I had to get stronger because one day I thought I’d have to fight him. That’s how it started out.” You can check out his story on the right…
