Tony Hawk Donates $10K For Memorial Skate Park In Boston

Tony Hawk has donated $10-thousand to help build the Frankie Fortuna Memorial Skatepark in Massachusetts. The skatepark is named in memory of 19-year-old Frankie Fortuna, who was killed in 2015 after being hit by a car.

After his death, members of the community came together to revamp the local skatepark, as it was a place Fortuna frequented and loved. Park Co-Chair Steven Snay says everyone’s thrilled by Hawk’s donation.

“It’s great because in the area where it is,” says Snay. “It’s kind of an underserved part of the town. It’s nice to see this park is going to be huge and fantastic.” Wanna help? Donations can be made to the Frankie Fortuna Memorial Skatepark by clicking HERE.
