Hollywood Honors Helen McCrory After She Loses Battle With Cancer

Hollywood is remembering Helen McCrory after the English actress lost her battle with cancer at age 52 on Friday. Helen Mirren, JK Rowling, and more have paid tribute to the late stage and screen star on social media.

McCrory is best known for her role as Polly Gray in “Peaky Blinders,” along with playing Draco Malfoy’s mom in the “Harry Potter” films. Her “Harry Potter” family, including author JK Rowling, on-screen son Tom Felton, and co-star Jason Isaacs are among the first to pay tribute online, remembering McCrory as “scabrously funny, shockingly naughty,” and “an extraordinary actress” who “lived fearlessly.”

McCrory’s husband, actor Damian Lewis, has written an emotional tribute for “The Sunday Times,” reflecting on his “brilliant” wife’s life, which she used to “spread happiness” even in her “last few days.” Read his tribute and more below.
