Adele’s “Easy On Me” Lands On Hot 100 After Only Five Hours

Adele’s new single “Easy On Me” is already a huge hit. In fact, it landed on the “Billboard” Hot 100 chart only five hours after it was released.

As we told you, the tune, the first single off Adele’s upcoming album “30,” was released at 7 pm ET on October 14th. The Hot 100 cutoff for tracking ended at 11:59 the same day. But even with just a few hours out in the public, the song still managed to debut at 68 on the Hot 100.

The charting was thanks to 3.1 million in U.S. streams, as well as sales of 14,800 units in its first five hours. That allowed the song to also debut at four on the “Billboard” Digital Song Sales chart.

  • ONE MORE THING! As we told you, Adele filmed a funny video for “Vogue” which tests her knowledge of British food, and, in case you missed it, during the clip she revealed that her “death row” meal would be from McDonald’s. “My ideal meal, my death row meal, my last meal, would be a McChicken Nugget with a Big Mac and then fries,” she says. “That’s my three-course. I eat it at least once a week!”
    • And…Adele was spotted courtside with boyfriend Rich Paul at the Staples Center for the NBA season opener earlier this week. Adele was dressed in a brown leather jumpsuit with a Louis Vuitton coat. Check it out here
