Weekend Movie Wrap Up: ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ Bows With $253M

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” took the box office by storm. The latest installment of the superhero flick brought in a whopping $253 million. It was the biggest opening in pandemic times, and the third biggest opening of all time behind only “Avengers: Endgame” at $60 million and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $57 million. 

The final chapter of the Tom Holland-led trilogy was expected to bring in between $130 and $150 million for the weekend. The film brought in $121 million on the first day.
